Competition Engineering Panhard Bars and Diagonal Links eliminate side-to-side movement of the rear axle housing within the chassis. Typically used in drag racing applications, diagonal links are superior to the panhard bar for eliminating sway in ladder bar and 4-link suspensions. Panhard bars are more common on street or road course vehicles because they handle greater side loads.
