The RICHMOND Six Speed overdrive transmission was designed with the driving enthusiast in mind. The six speed transmission is made in the U.S.A. by American Craftsmen using the latest CNC machining and in house heat treat. Based on their bulletproof five speed design, the RICHMOND ROD has another gear-to-grab: overdrive! 
Aided in design with NASCAR proven technology, the RICHMOND ROD features smooth, positive and fast shifting. Available in multiple gear ratios, the ROD delivers strong, light weight performance. Overdrive ratios are available from .91 to .52. Engineered with a pro-quality approach, the RICHMOND ROD delivers the strength and performance you expect! Brand new.

Put the power to the pavement with a American Powertrain Tremec TKO 600 transmission for unmatched durability and versatility. The gears and single-piece shafts are made from special ASTM-4615 steel for extra torque-carrying capacity (up to 600 ft.-lbs.!). The 3-rail shift system, cast iron shift forks, and billet aluminum short-throw shifters provide crisp shifting along with reduced road noise. These transmissions are available for street and racing applications. They have eight shifter locations, three crossmember mounting configurations, electronic and mechanical speedometer pickups, and three available input shafts, all to ensure a from-the-factory fit in your application.

Tremec TKO 600 manual transmissions are shipped dry from the manufacturer.

* A pre-inspection is done to ensure the unit is free of case cracks, excessive wear and to catch other OEM related problems that many cores have
* A second inspection is conducted during the remanufacturing process to ensure all component parts meet OEM specifications
* A final post-build inspection is done to ensure unit is built to their strict standards
* All units are quality inspected throughout the remanufacturing process to maintain our quality standard
* All housing and top covers are cleaned utilizing their state-of-the-art hydro-blasting and rinsing process--this brings all cases back to the OEM finish
* 100 percent inspection of internal parts, including gear wear checks, main shaft straightness test and synchronizer testing 
* 100 percent replacement of seals, bearings, and other common wear components
* Units are shipped in high-density plastic totes to help eliminate in-transit damage
* All transfer cases are sold with a standard 2 year/unlimited mileage warranty

  • The AX15 transmission has always been a great transmission able to handle the torque and horsepower of most V8s. The biggest problem now is the availability of new units. With the lack of availability of new NV3550s, we revisited the possibly of obtaining the Asian Warner AX15 transmission and were successful.

The NV3550 was the transmission that superseded the AX15; and Jeep used the same engine with the same vehicle ratings. With the availability of AX15 transmissions, we can now offer some additional transmission retrofit applications.

AX15 Direct Replacement:

The AX15 was use between 1988 to 1999 in the Jeep vehicles. Since these Jeeps are getting up in mileage, a new AX15 makes sense as a direct retrofit. Available in both an internal and external release bearing design.

AX15 retrofitting the AX5:

This is a newer kit for all 4 cylinder Jeeps 1987 to 2002. The AX5 is considered a light duty transmission compared to the AX15. Jeeps equipped with larger tires and lower gears in the axle & transfer case may find the weak link in the drivetrain is the stock transmission. You can now install the AX15 in place of the AX5 to gain some drivetrain strength.

  • Finally, the missing link between your muscle car’s original, cable-driven speedometer and swapped-in electronic transmission!
Measuring a compact 5” x 4.1” x 2.15”, the new Electronic Cable Drive, allows the use of a mechanical-cable speedometer to be used in conjunction with a modern drivetrain which provides only an electronic output. Supplied with provision for GM Thread-On or Clip-On style cable (cable is 36” in length).
Quiet operation from the powerful motor allows the user to place the module inside the cabin. The case is waterproofed, allowing it to alternatively be mounted under the hood, or even inside a fenderwell. Simple calibration with a remotely-mounted switch means there are no DIP-switches to hassle with; access to ECD module is not required! Industry-standard ‘measured-mile’ calibration as well as speed adjustment while driving, based on a GPS or other known-speedometer reading, keep setup ultra simple.

  • To keep up with new transmission options we offer two transmission adapter brackets for the late model T-56 and TR-6060 transmissions, including the MG9 “high-torque” version of the TR-6060 behind the LSA engines in the CTS-V and ZL1 Camaro. They are designed to adapt a standard transmission mount to the transmission using the factory bolt holes and places the transmission mount in the correct location for our LS swap kits.

The adapter bracket for the Cadillac CTS-V T-56 and standard TR-6060 is laser cut, CNC bent and jig welded using 3/16” steel and powder-coated black. The adapter bracket for the MG9 high-torque TR-6060 is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and has a milled finish. Both come with all necessary hardware.

Both adapter brackets are shown with our polyurethane transmission mount which is not included with the transmission adapter brackets, but is included with our LSx swap kits.
