The Vortec 5300 LM7 (VIN code 8th digit "T") was introduced in 1999, and can be considered the "garden variety" version of the Generation III 5.3 liter V8's. The 1999 LM7 engine produced 270 hp (201 kW) and 315 lb·ft (427 N·m), 2000-2003 engines made 285 hp (213 kW) and 325 lb·ft (441 N·m). The 2004-2007 engines made 295 hp (220 kW) and 335 lb·ft (454 N·m), it has a cast iron block and aluminum heads.
This unit has 40k miles, and includes a 6 month warranty. Complete with ECM, harness and all accessories except for starter and a/c compressor.

What do you get when you take Chevrolet Performance’s aggressive ASA camshaft – developed for the high-rpm world of circle-track racing and slip it into an LS3 6.2L engine? The answer is 525 horsepower in one of our most powerful production-based crate engines. We call it the LS376/525 and if take-no-prisoner performance is what you’re looking for in your project, this is it!
The ASA camshaft is a hydraulic roller with .525-inch lift on both sides, along with 226 degrees duration on the intake side and 236 degrees on the exhaust side. Coupled with a tight, 110-degree lobe separation angle, it helps the engine deliver excellent throttle response and breathe exceptionally well at high rpm. And for durability, we complement the cam with higher-rate valve springs.

The hot new small-block V-8 in the GM lineup is the hyper-aggressive LS3. It offers a high-revving 376-cid combination that represents generations of small-block V-8 development and engineering. Not only is the LS3 an amazing engine in its stock configuration, but with those high-flowing rectangular port cylinder heads, the LS3 is loaded with potential. To tap into this, the engineers at GM Performance Parts offer you the LS376/480—an LS3 with an upgraded camshaft that ups power by a whopping 50 horsepower!

The LS376/480 comes with the same great features as the LS3 crate engine. The bottom end includes a 6-bolt aluminum block, nodular crank, high performance rods, and 10.7:1 pistons. The heads are high-flowing rectangular-port L92 units that have been upgraded with high-revving, hollow-stem valves. The same EFI intake manifold feeds the hungry engine, while 1.7:1 roller rockers work with the upgraded camshaft.

The Chevrolet Performance 6.2L 376 C.I.D. 495 HP engine assemblies use the race tested LS hot cam. The hydraulic roller camshaft features .525 in. intake and .525 in. exhaust valve lift with a duration at .050 in. of 219 degrees intake and 228 degrees exhaust. The short block is topped with L95 port cylinder heads with as cast 68cc combustion chambers and 2.16 in. intake and 1.59 in, exhaust valves. That puts you at a healthy 10.7:1 compression ratio! Engine assemblies are complete with valve covers, oil pan, timing cover, harmonic balancer, exhaust manifolds, spark plugs, spark plug wires, ignition coil packs and intake manifold.
