LS Swap Kit for the Land Rover Defender. 

This kit includes the following:

4L80 transfer case, oil pan, headers and motor mounts.

For those of you working on custom applications we offer our engine mounts separately. To ensure proper driveline angle we recommend getting the Mount and Crossmember kit together for standard LS swaps, which is also available.

 

These Holley GM LS retrofit engine oil pans are designed to install an LS engine in a variety of GM musclecar and truck chassis. They provide OEM fitment, OEM oil filter mounting, OEM oil cooler port provision, OEM engine NVH suppression, OEM flange gasket and sealing, proper structural rigidity, and OEM bellhousing attachments. The oil pans are manufactured from traditional high-quality cast aluminum and include a sump baffle, oil pump pickup tube, sump plug, oil filter stud, and oil passage cover.

Warranty Information

NOTE. The automatic transmission and adaptor is longer than the transmission being replaced. For this reason drive shafts and transfer case mountings will require modification. Refit front drive shaft and check the clearance between it and the side of the automatic transmission sump. Modify the sump if required by removing the corner section. NOTE. When modifying an automatic sump make sure that the modifications do not interfere with the valve body.
All automatic transmissions require the use of a suitable transmission cooler. This can either be incorporated into the original radiator or a remote type can be used. The transmission shift mechanism can either be an after market Hurst or B&M floor shifter. Alternatively a T-bar set up can be used from an automatic Range Rover with modification
