Powergrip HD is a true street/strip competition clutch that can survive spirited street driving and roaring race weekends. The main difference between the HD and standard Powergrip is disc surface; both HD friction surfaces are sintered iron. Sintered iron provides enough slippage on launch to prevent the violent, uncontrollable engagement characteristics of metallic paddle-type discs.
Such firm, consistent engagement is easy to control yet expect some chatter from street applications with rear gearing under 3.73. The 8-spring hub features RAM poly-coil damper springs encased in polyurethane for greater load capacity and extended hub life. Units can handle three times the shock load of just the coil spring (standard in all RAM Competition Discs). Kit includes flywheel disc, pressure plate, alignment tool, and release bearing.
